Kristine Harrington's journey embodies resilience and purposeful redirection. Since the third grade, she dreamt of becoming a news reporter, and her dedication paid off with a successful, Emmy Award-winning career in television news. However, life took an unexpected turn when she found herself as a single mom.
Realizing that the demanding nature of her job, with its 24/7 on-call requirement and a go-bag in her trunk was not conducive to being present for her daughter, Kristine sought a new path. She assessed where her skill set could provide value and purpose and transitioned into school public relations.
As Director of Communications & Marketing for the Scottsdale Unified School District, Kristine has led award winning campaigns transforming the district’s approach to communications as well as her professional and personal life for the better. Surprisingly, Kristine discovered that her newfound role brings her even greater fulfillment than she ever imagined it would or could.
