WHAT IS EXECUTIVE EDGE? EXECUTIVE EDGE is a confidential and exclusive peer-to-peer advisory panel designed to provide real solutions to the real problems you are facing in your business. Executive Edge is designed for CEO's, Senior-Level Executives and Emerging Leaders who are working "on" the business versus "in" the business.
HOW IS EXECUTIVE EDGE STRUCTURED? Executive Edge brings together 8-10 individuals from diverse industries and backgrounds who meet monthly to discuss matters of business and personal interest. Meetings are structured and follow a strict protocol to ensure the integrity of the information exchange. Groups are led by a trained facilitator who is responsible for ensuring productive, stimulating meetings and reinforcing the ground rules of engagement. Many participants refer to their peer groups as their personal board of directors that can be trusted with essentially any information.
WHAT TOPICS ARE DISCUSSED? Each participant brings forth a topic for discussion. Most topics fall into the following broad categories:
Organizational & personnel management
Growth strategies & business development
Fiscal responsibility & budget planning
Operations & infrastructure improvement
Raising capital & revenue enhancement
WHAT ARE THE PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS? Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements for consideration.
Owner, partner, chief administrator, general manager or individual with primary decision-making responsibility
In business a minimum of 2 years (business experience in other markets may be considered)
Attendance at Kick-Off Meeting
Adherence to all rules set forth by Executive Edge and the Chamber.
Committment to attending all Executive Edge sessions
WHAT IS MY COMMITTMENT? This program works because of the committment of its members. All participants will be asked to commit to the following:
Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings. Your group will meet a minimum of ten times
Host one meeting at your facility or other agreed upon location. In addition to providing an appropriate meeting space, you will also be responsible for food, beverages and other resources as determined by your group.
Present at least one business issue during the year. Your group facilitator will assist you in preparing your presentation.
WHAT IS MY RETURN ON INVESTMENT? Having an open and honest dialogue with trusted peers facing the same issues you are is invaluable. Participants form lasting relationships, share experiences and guide each other through the various stages of business growth and success.
HOW ARE MY PEERS SELECTED? Many factors are considered when assigning a candidate to a peer group. Each candidate is required to complete an application, which gathers essential information about the applicant’s company, including size, revenues, life cycle and current challenges. We also look at the applicant’s background and core competencies to determine his or her compatibility with other participants.
Competing companies will not be placed together. Similarly, client/supplier relationships will be taken into account. All processes are designed to protect the confidential nature of the Executive Edge experience and create an optimal environment of trust.
Once the application process is complete, a personal or phone interview will be conducted to further test compatibility, confirm commitment and answer lingering questions.

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM COST? Comparable leadership development programs can run anywhere from $1000-$4000 in today's marketplace. The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer this program to our membership at a very low rate.
Executive Edge is FREE for chamber members at the Advantage or Partner Council levels and only $450 for Chamber members at the Basic or Classic levels. This program is open to non-members at a cost of $995. Participation fee includes the kick-off meeting, program manual, personal support and lasting relationships.
